• We descend into the basement and it's dark and cold.
• Long hallways with many crypts. When we reach Rose and Thorn's crypts, they leave our bodies.
• We go south and come to a room with a table and many, many bones around it. It's pretty creepy.
• I check out a cubby hole and a grick jumps down. Good thing I cast Mage Armor when we entered the basement.
  • Seir pushes Arkan out of the way, calling him a dumbass. Booming Blade's the grick, or tries and misses.
  • Lilly tries and fails to Vicious Mockery it. Gives me Inspiration.
  • Grick slashes Seir, since it can't reach Arkan. It then bit him. It fucked him up.
  • River casts Aid on me, himself, and Seir.
  • Arkan shoves Seir to the side and Shocking Grasp'd a tentacle.
  • Belial glares for some psychic damage. "Did you know that your bones are always wet?" Fucking blows its mind.
  • Seir tries to hit it with his rapier, crit fails.
  • Lilly VM's it, saying, "I bet you don't even have bones!"
  • Grick tries to hit Arkan but just brushes him. Gets a -2 on seducing him.
  • River takes the chance and fucking mace's its face.
  • Arkan stabs it, disgusted by its failed seduction attempt.
    • Lilly Vale: This grick has lasted 3 slutty, slutty turns
  • Belial attempts to jump on the table and spear it and falls right on his face and almost hits Seir and Arkan.
  • Seir finally hits it, albeit no Booming Blade.
  • Lilly VMs it, making fun of it for failing to seduce. It gets so hurt that it dies.
• We go left, away from the loud chanting. We reach a crosspoint where we can go south. We continue left.
• Big room with many servant bedrooms. Well in the middle. Each room has a straw bed and a chest.
• Arkan enters one and finds a silvered shortsword. Belial finds a human flesh bag of money. Lilly finds an ivory hairbrush with silver bristles. Seir finds a black leather eyepatch with a gem sewn in. Seir gets some gemstones
• River inspects the well. His water spider senses determine it's deep and has water. Arkan gets some water for River. River uses Shape Water to play with it, and Lilly inspires him.
• We go up and find a table with four chairs, and four shitty bedrooms. Lilly rolls in the dust of one of the beds.
• We leave and find we're back at the start. We go back to the room with bones and go south. We find a crossroads and determine the chanting is coming from the left. Four ghouls pop out.
  • Arkan gasps and steps back a bit, once more saying "A bastard!"
  • River slides on up and screeches radiance.
  • Lilly chacha slides behind everyone, moves to an empty area, and uses Dissonant Whispers on it. It tries to run. Belial and Arkan both attack as it flees, successfully killing it.
  • Seir slaps one with his longsword.
  • The ghouls attempt to hit Arkan and Belial. They fail spectacularly.
  • Belial attempts to spear one. The ghoul is unimpressed.
  • Arkan hits the one to the south with a fiery Chaos Bolt. It gets pretty hurt.
  • River tries to javelin one and misses hilariously.
  • Lilly makes fun of the ghoul to the right, asking how the meat in its mouth tastes. It gets sad.
  • Seir attempts to stab. He fucking fails.
  • The ghouls try to hit and just... don't.
  • Belial tries to spear the one immediately to the south. It is unimpressed.
  • Arkan grabs the face of the one to the south and makes it explode with Shocking Grasp.
  • River reaches around the corner to tap Seir's head with Cure Wounds.
  • Lilly makes fun of the ghoul she can see. "Your aim's getting better!"
  • Seir tries to throw a handaxe and misses embarrassingly bad.
  • One ghoul moves up and hits Belial. Another tries to attack Arkan and would've hit had he not panicked and used Shield.
  • Belial glares at one and does some decent psychic damage.
  • Arkan tries to Shocking Grasp the new one. Fails.
  • River gives Belial a Shield of Faith.
  • Lilly VM's again. "Now that I think about it, you don't even look good for a ghoul."
  • Seir swings and misses.
  • One gets desperate and tries to bite Arkan. He makes a face and moves out of the way. The other tries to claw Belial and crit fails. Belial slaps him.
  • Belial stabs the one to the south with his spear, finally.
  • Arkan grabs the face of the one that tries to bit him and electrocutes it. He moves out of the crossroads finally. One tries to attack as he moves, but misses.
  • River throws a javelin at the one at the south.
  • Lilly VM's the ghoul. "Begone, THOT!!" It fucking DIES.
  • Seir finally hits the ghoul he's been trying to. It's lookin' pretty hurt.
  • The ghoul tries to claw Belial and misses. It's pretty sad.
  • Belial spears it in response and downs it.
• We are finally free of ghoul.
  • Belial: You know, bullying is a serious problem. that's not very nice of you Lily :/
  • Seir Rasha: Shhh
  • Lilly Vale: Neither is eating people
  • Belial: 🐛
  • Seir Rasha: let her its beautiful
• Arkan puts a hand on Lilly's shoulder. "Remind me not to piss you off." Walks to the right, entering a room with skeletons.
• Seir notices the ghouls have cultist robes. Lilly decides they're not Pete.
• The skeleton room has a statue holding a grey orb and with a hand on a wolf statue. Arkan takes the orb. Belial notices a door opens up on the wall and notices a secret staircase. It goes to the hunting room on the first floor.
• We start to go south and these... black things appear. We'll call them shadows. Mostly just because the DM did, but we didn't know that. They attack.
  • Arkan hits one with Chill Touch. It doesn't react much even though it hits.
  • Belial psychic attacks the one right next to him. It flinches.
  • Seir runs up and swipes at both of them. One to the front missed, one to the side hit. It goes down.
  • River walks up and screams radiance yet again.
  • Lilly makes fun of the one in front of her, saying that she wears the robes better. She then backs away. The one she was next to attacks and saps away her strength.
  • River gets hit real hard and his strength is reduced as well. One goes after Arkan and fucking misses. Two try to hit Seir and miss.
  • Arkan face-shocks the one in front of him and hides behind Lilly.
  • Belial uses the last of his psychic reserves to hit one.
  • Seir slams one with a sword and it vanishes.
  • River screeches radiance, and they both flinch. They don't like that at all.
  • Lilly insults from afar. "Hey, you're not looking good there, are ya?!" It gets offended.
  • All three swung and all three failed. Wow.
  • Arkan throws a Fire Bolt at the one Lilly insulted and it fucking vanishes.
  • Belial attempts to spear and gets a crit. It doesn't take much damage, so Belial decides to seduce it. He fucking succeeds.
  • Seir gets a good slash in.
  • River screams. Again. It finally disappears.
  • Lilly VM's the last one. "The fog is a better waifu than you'll ever be." It saves and thinks its love with Belial is true, it ignores her.
  • The shadow tries to attack Belial and fails as shit.
  • Arkan gets mad at the shadow for trying to steal Belial and Fire Bolt's it to death.
• Belial sighs, "That was fun." And leans on Arkan. Arkan huffs and examines the orb. He hears a chuckle in his head. Lilly asks if he heard something and he says no. He manages to lie that he heard nothing.
• They decide to take a rest and go upstairs. They smell smoke. They go upstairs and realise the fire from a while ago was way out of hand. Seir drags a barrel out from the bathroom, which River dumps on the fire. The flames are put out.
• Arkan shuffles through the remains. Lilly rolls around in the soot. They go to the north bedroom. Arkan and Belial cuddle in the bed. River sleeps in the bathtub. Lilly goes in the closet. Seir sleeps on a chair.
  • Arkan crawls onto the bed. Tries not to get dusty. Realises he's covered in soot anyway and shrugs. Fuck it.
  • River: a gentle 'h-hewwo' is heard from the bathroom
• Lilly waves good morning to the fog. She seduces it and it blushes.

• We go back to the basement. Arkan goes up to a door, except it's a mimic. It tries to eat him.
  • The door bites down on Arkan and almost fucking downs him in one shot.
  • Arkan gets out of its jaws and backs the FUCK away, now with gaping holes in his chest cavity. Except he doesn't bleed so they're just there.
  • Belial aggressively thinks at a door.
  • River uses Cure Wounds on Arkan and fixes up some of the holes. Arkan puts a hand on River, saying, "You're a good man." River nods quietly.
  • Lilly VMs the door, but it does not care. She uses Healing Word on Arkan.
  • Seir tries to stab it and fails.
  • The mimic tries to swat at Belial and misses. Belial feels confident as hell
  • Arkan tries a Fire Bolt and misses. To be fair, he's still recovering from the fucking holes in him.
  • Belial stabs it with his spear.
  • River uses Shield of Faith on Belial.
  • Lilly VMs. "At least Arkan was kinda into the other ones." Its feelings are definitely hurt.
  • Seir gets a good ol' slash on the door.
  • Door tries to swing at Seir and misses.
  • Arkan sets the door on fire and moves back again. Fuck no.
  • OOC, I rolled a nat20. Both of my damage die were 1s. DM took pity and let me re-roll one of the die.
  • Belial spears it again.
  • River screeches radiance and crumbles the door.
• We move to the next room. Table with two chairs, chandeliers, empty clay jug, some cups, tall iron candlesticks in the corners.
• Wooden frame bread w/ rotten feather matress, open crate with torches, candelsticks, wardrobe.
• Arkan sees a fun box and forgets he didn't want to take lead. Lilly rolls around the bed but gets off when it's rotten. Belial checks out the wardrobe.
• Box has misc stuff like potions, lanturn, etc. Arkan wants a cloak and wooden box inside. Two ghasts appear when he tries to get something. They smell like ass.
  • Arkan disengages and moves out of range. Fuck THAT.
  • River gets rid of the Shield of Faith and gives it to Arkan.
  • One bites Lilly and leaves her with 2 HP. The other tries to swipe at Belial and misses.
  • Seir slashes one of 'em and lands a solid hit.
  • Lilly gets overwhelmed by the ghasts' smell. She is also poisoned.
  • Belial does not care about the smell, but does not hit.
  • Arkan gets mad because one of the ghasts moved in range and hits in the face with the ol' Chaos Bolt. Also he doesn't give a fuck about the smell.
  • River considers a Thunderwave, but decides to Cure Wounds poor Lilly, who would've died from that fucking Thunderwave.
  • One tries to hit Seir and misses. The other hits Belial hard and paralyses him.
  • Seir doesn't care about the smell and slashes the one in front of him.
  • Lilly, now with more health but still poisoned, Dissonant Whispers' one of them. It fails the save, but we both miss our opportunity attacks.
  • Belial is paralysed, but can still think. Probably. Or not, because he crit failed.
  • Arkan hits the fled one with a Fire Bolt and fucking murderises it.
  • River uses Lesser Restoration on Belial.
  • Ghast tries to hit Seir. Misses.
  • Seir hits it with the ol' Booming Blade and sword.
  • Lilly VM's the one remaining. "We got your husband!" It fucking dies.
• Arkan seizes the coat and box. Box has healing potions. He distributes them. There's also a spellbook which he takes because why not.
• We move on, toward the chanting now. We go down some stairs and hear some really loud chanting.
• "He is the ancient, he is the land." At least a dozen voices.
• Room is large, has a number of cubbyholes.
• Small mummified yellow hand with sharp claws on a rope (goblin hand?), knife carved from human bone, metal dagger with a rat's skull in the pommel, 8 inch diametre varnished orb made from a nofic's eye, aspergilum (empty), cloak of stitched ghoul skin, frog on a stick, bag of bat poop, hag's severed finger, 6 inch tall wooden figurine of mummy, iron pendant with devil's face, shrunken shriveled head of a halfling, small wooden coffer with a dire wolf's tongue
• We grab some shit and go down the left hall.
• Bunch of empty cells. At the end, there's a corpse. It's in cultist robes. One finger has a gold ring. I took it (finger included).
• Seir notices a door to the right hall, since it was barred off. It opens to the water room.
• Chanting stops. 40ft square room. Smooth walls with acoustic. Featureless stone pillar. Breach in wall where there's trash and bones. Stairs leading around the walkways. Middle of room has octagon area with an altar. Rusty chains from ceiling above altar. Altar has ghoul depictions and blood.
• River 👀s at the water
• Arkan steps onto the altar. 13 apparations appear on the ledge all around the room. Each one resembles a black hooded figure holding a torch. Torch is black fire, which draws light into it.
• They chant "One must die". Thing must be alive.
• We have nothing to sacrifice, so we step away from the altar.
• Belial opens the bars blocking the other way out and Arkan tries to leave. It counts as refusal.
• "Lorghoth the decayer, we awaken thee"
• Here comes Danny Devito the trash monster!
  • Lilly fucking FLEES. And inspires Seir. But mostly FLEES.
  • Arkan tries the ol' Chaos Bolt and misses.
  • Belial gives it a psychic blast.
  • River throws a javelin.
  • Seir throws an axe.
  • Lilly slides back down and casts Faerie Fire on the shambling mound. It gets lit the fuck up.
  • I miss ANOTHER Chaos Bolt. RIP my spell slots.
  • Belial spears it.
  • River does an Aid on him, Belial, and Seir.
  • Trash monster shimmies on up and beats the fuck out of River. River falls unconscious. The trash monster sucks it in.
  • Seir rips River out of the monster and hits it with a Booming Blade longsword.
  • Lilly shoots it with a crossbow and heals up River so he wakes up.
  • Arkan hits it with a solid Fire Bolt.
  • Belial misses the fuck out of the mound.
  • River gets up, backs away, and heals self.
  • Mound tries to attack Seir and misses twice.
  • Seir gets in a solid Booming Blade.
  • Lilly makes fun of its lack of defined planthood with VM. It feels sad.
  • I give it another fuckin Fire Bolt.
  • Belial misses yet again.
  • River moves the Shield of Faith to Belial.
  • Mound misses both Belial and Seir, since it's at disadvantage.
  • Seir lands a crit with his longsword and does rockin' damage.
  • Lilly makes fun of its misses (VM).
  • I keep spamming Fire Bolt.
  • Belial lands his spear!
  • River throws a solid javelin.
  • Mound misses its first hit, but slams Seir with its second.
  • Seir hits it and does the ol Second Wind so he doesn't die.
  • "You can't even kill a couple of noobs! Get good scrub!" Lilly, using VM. It fails. It can't get a double digit number.
  • Another Fire Bolt.
  • Belial misses with the spear... again...
  • River throws another javelin.
  • "The end come, death be praised!" shout the ghost cultists throughout this fight, which our DM forgot until now.
  • Mound keeps missing. Lilly is fucking OP.
  • Seir stabs it.
  • Lilly flips the bird for VM. It fails.
  • I do ONE FUCKING POINT OF FIRE BOLT DAMAGE.
  • Belial does not spear-kill it.
  • River misses a javelin.
  • Mound keeps missing.
  • Seir hits it with a good swing and fucking kills it.
• Mound crumbles to a pile of trash.
  • Belial: I RETRACT WHAT I SAID EARLIER, BULLYING IS AMAZING
  • Seir Rasha: YEAH
  • Lilly Vale: RIGHT?
  • Seir Rasha: FUCKING TOLD YOU
  • Arkan: YOU'RE DOING GOOD WORK, LILLY

• Cultists go, "Awww," and disappear in disappointment.
• The house begins to tremor.
