- We bolt into the inn and try to play it cool. We do okay.
- Rictavio notices us and makes a scene of us being there. We excuse ourselves and skedaddle the fuck away. Arkan juggles the lights.
- We go into the room and Arkan barricades the door and we explain to Lilly and Ireena what happened.
- The innkeeper checks up on us and Lilly bullshits the entire response, saying we're just tired and we eat only every other day. Rictavio asks if we're coming out and the innkeeper explains no we're on a special diet.
- River: wine doesn't count as food right?
- Arkan: No
- River: gulp gulp bitches
- Arkan hears guards announce a murder. Belial sees two guys talking to the guards and they get in an argument.
- We discuss what to do and how to flee. Arkan talks to Belial in Infernal and says we're fucked.
- The innkeeper shows up again and shares the murder announcement, and asks if we can answer a question. Lilly slides out to talk about it. Innkeeper says he doesn't care, but he doesn't want guards coming in. He asks if anyone knew that we were going to Wacherhaus. No one besides Ernst, but he's a known watcher spy.
- Innkeeper offers to hide us, but we all agree we should leave immediately. Rictavio suggests a tower we could hide in, but it's a dangerous place. It used to be a wizard's tower and it's littered with traps. Lilly asks if there's literally anywhere else nearby. There isn't.
- Innkeeper offers to hide us in the stables for a couple hours and we leave at first light. We'll only get a short rest though.
- We shuffle into the stables. There's a horse named Drusilla. We all pet it. We go up some stairs and there's a lot of ravens. We go into a secret door which is a bedroom, which has ANOTHER secret door that goes to the attic. Also, innkeeper can talk to ravens.
- We level up.
- We get new instruction to go to the winery and the tower. Arkan asks who even owned the tower. Khazan, wizard from long time ago, when Strahd first came about.
- We're not very stealthy getting through the town. Thanks River. Somehow, we're undetected.
- We're not very stealthy getting to the wall. Arkan steps on a rake. Somehow, we're still undetected.
- River and Seir chuck the rest of us over the wall. We try to sneak away from the wall and fucking suck.
- It doesn't matter. We're leaving Vallaki.
- We walk across a bridge. On the other side, we find a crossroads. We decide to go south since it points to Krezk.
- We walk more. We find another bridge. We go north, because it goes to Krezk. To the south is the winery we've heard about. We skipped the wizard death house entirely so that's fun. I wanna go back to it.
- Barry's taking a long time to set up an encounter so now we're making jokes about Strahd not being able to get a boner.
- Ok we're in, it's a druid not-friend and he's lanky.
- The druid restrains us all with some plants except Seir and River.
- River summons up some sleet storm. Pretty much all the blights fall prone. The druid loses focus on the vines.
- Lilly makes fun of the druid.
- Seir horribly misses a handaxe. It's embarrassing.
- Arkan throws a Fireball and absolutely massacres everyone. Druid included. Two (2!!) twigblights were out of range though.
- Our DM took some 20 minutes to set up this encounter and I shut it down in less than a round. He threw 4 dire wolves at us.
- Belial readies an attack.
- The twigblights climb up to their feet and walk forward.
- Some wolves close in. Belial Mind Thrusts one of them.
- River does the ol Ding Dong on a wolf. It crit passes.
- Lilly tries to do a Dissonant Whisper but the wolves are wise. She also inspires Seir.
- Seir finds his axe.
- Arkan uses a Chaos Bolt on a wolf.
- Belial does some weird radiant stuff.
- The twigblights move closer then fall prone.
- A wolf chomps on Belial.
- River ding dongs a wolf to death and heals Belial.
- Lilly fails to Whispers a wolf and inspires Arkan again.
- Seir slashes the fuck out of a wolf twice and murders it.
- Arkan, seizing the wolf's face with Shocking Grasp: "Your face esplode." He then steps back and does some good ol' Scorching Rays.
- Belial stares radiance and makes the wolf die.
- The twigblights dissolve into the ground.
- Seir finally gets his handaxe back.
- We take a moment to just laugh at what happened.
- We move on and arrive at Krezk! It's got a lot of snow and also is walled.
- We are denied entry unless we fix the winery problem. Everyone likes gettin' crunk I guess.
